DEMAC MIG light

The smaller Demac lance is fully in line with Demac's snowing lances philosophy. It is called light as there is no dedicated compressor. This lance has been designed for snowmaking with centralised compressed air supply and generates savings in the investment phase as well as during operations, substantially reducing energy consumption with only 0.5 kW installed power.

Extensive testing proved perfect operation without heaters under arctic temperatures. Nevertheless, a heated head is available upon demand (0.1 kW).

As this snowmaker has been designed for use with centralised air supply, control is also central using PC and DAP© controls. There is, however, still facility for stand-alone control of the lance.

The head is made of an Aluminium alloy and equipped with 5 nucleators and 10 water nozzles. These add up to a snowmaking capacity of 166 l/min. The head, Aluminium rod and lifting arm have a total weight of 120 kg. This low weight allows fast and simple transport of the machine. The standard version has 10 m overall length, with 6 and 8 m versions also available.
